Rose Academies-Uganda We are educators and teach the vulnerable and oppressed about healthcare so that lives can be saved.

Rose Academies is committed to educate Uganda's oppressed rural poor about healthcare and nutrition as we work to reduce malnutrition and preventable deaths of children. Rose Academies' mission is to remove those barriers that prevent the rural poor from equal access to education about healthcare, nutrition, neonatal health and more. Our programs are sustainable in that we provide solutions to age

old problems. Our fellows are dedicated Ugandans that are showing impoverished and disabled persons how to make healthy choices to reduce the high mortality rates of infants and children. Rose Academies is a 501(c)3 charitable organization; Rose Academies has Special Consultative Status in UN ECOSOC; a member of World Hearing Forum; a charter member of WHO's Disability Health Equity Network.

Connecting for Change: integrating disability equity across global health agendas

Join us at the Seventy-ninth World Health Assembly (WHA79) where we aim to bring together civil society, global health actors and our newly formed WHO Disability Health Equity Network as we work together to advance disability inclusion across global health agendas.

Join us as we dig deeper into the phenomenon of achieving universal health coverage (UHC); find out more about this newly formed WHO Disability Health Equity Network; explore key insights, gaps and opportunities; identify shared priorities and practical ways to collaborate; and hear some of our ideas that could strengthen disability inclusion within UHC and global health agendas.

BREAKING NEWS! VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER OPENS DOORS FOR DISABLED YOUTH IN UGANDA!

April 25th our Rose Academies-Uganda OPD Liaison Officer, Ms. Kiggala Nalubwama Mastulah, officially launched the opening of the UFHOH ROSE Resource Center in Busiika, Luwero District.

This was a thrilling moment as our long time working partner, Uganda Federation of the Hard of Hearing joins us in this exciting business venture that will provide instruction on hair dressing, barbering, tailoring and computer literacy for disabled youth in Uganda.
The event began with opening remarks from the most honorable, Sheikh Juma and the Senior Community Development Officer of Busiika Town Council, Mr. Nyanzi Ismail.
This center connects students with local internships, creating a direct pathway from education to a successful career. The center offers reduced rates to disadvantaged families so that skill-building and financial growth is open and accessible to everyone.
