Join us...online, with a donation, in prayer, or in Guatemala. Now Is The Time for Missions is a grass-roots, inter-denominational collective of Christian volunteers ages 7-77, who are committed to sharing the love and hope of Jesus with children living in extreme poverty, now. We are all volunteers who raise our own financial support, including our directors, who spend 3 months per year in Guatem
ala preparing for our 4 weeks of summer mission teams. Our sponsor organization is Santa Clara Christian Church in Santa Clara, CA - a 501(c) non-profit organization. Our goal through all of our mission projects is to share the love and hope of Jesus, and to provide opportunities for the poorest children in each community to attend school, with the hope of breaking the cycle of extreme poverty through education. We do each summer by:
-Teaching hundreds of children per day about Jesus in our Bible Schools
-Installing hundreds of Ecocomal high-efficiency stoves in homes in need
-Constructing vital building projects at a home for abused boys and girls
-Installing dozens of concrete floors in children's bedrooms and kitchens
-Serving hundreds of children's family members in our Eye Glass Clinics
-Serving hundreds of children's family members in our Medical Clinics
-Delivering over 5 tons of children's shoes, clothes and school supplies
-Providing pure water to dozens of families by installing Ecocomal Filters
-Sharing our experiences and raising awareness with others in the U.S. We do this throughout the year by:
-Supporting 3 Child Sponsorship Programs we have helped to launch
-Paying for school supplies and registrations for 100's of children/yr
-Praying for the children and families that we meet in Guatemala
-Fundraising and recruiting other team members to join us
Now Is the Time...because there's never a good time to go. Join our Mission Directors Shawn Smith and Damaris Smith, for their eighth year of hosting 160 missionaries of all ages for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ by helping orphans, and children and their families living in extreme poverty in Guatemala. Serve on one of many mission crews this summer, at one of four mission sites, with up to forty team members per week, from all over the United States. Watch the promo videos and mission documentary, check out our Frequently Asked Questions about the mission, and view photos and read about last year’s Mission to Guatemala ’12 at our mission website: www.nowisthetimemission.com
