The DKG Area IV event was held March 2 and was quite a success! We opened to wonderful music and singing by Bernard Smith from The Center for Adaptive Arts.

The keynote speaker, Debbie Duncan, is a local writer who shared her journey with us with grace and humor. She shared two of her books: When Molly was in the Hospital: A Book for Brothers and Sisters of Hospitalized Children and Caller Number Nine. The first tells of her experience learning about celiac disease when her daughter was finally diagnosed, the second of the angst of teenage years.

We enjoyed a wonderful brunch, served by Sean Chandler of CookinChandlerCatering followed by awards for Service to Chapter (Gaye), Service to Community (Diane), and Service to Profession (Kirby). Last, gift baskets galore!
