Today, we honor the life and legacy of Rev. Jesse L. Jackson (1941–2026).
Rev. Jackson carried Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision forward; not only in word, but in action. Rev Jackson organized, built, and insisted that justice must reach our schools, our neighborhoods, our workplaces, and our policies.
As we grieve this loss during Black History Month, we’re reminded that the fight against segregation and systemic inequity is not “ancient history.” It lives in living memory, and in the work still required of us.
May we honor Rev. Jackson by continuing what Dr. King called us to: a love of justice, a love of humanity, and a commitment to the beloved community.
Rest in power, Rev. Jackson. 🕊️
