Every summer, children with skin diseases from across the US take a break from being a patient for a week and focus on just being a kid at Camp Wonder.
Campers will participate in activities with their cabin (assigned by age and gender). Camp Wonder is a great place to meet other kids and make lifelong friends!
WHO: Any child, aged 6 – 16, residing in North America, with a skin disease diagnosis. Our campers are supported by 2 camper: 1staff ratio. Our staff are volunteers counselors, activity buddies and medical staff (doctors, nurses, PAs).
WHERE: Rutlege, Georgia at Camp Twin Lakes. A new summer camp, built in 2023, for kids with special needs. All cabins and buildings are air-conditioned, as well as a large MedLodge to support any medical care required the week of camp.
WHY: It’s not about being different, it’s about being together! We create a community of acceptance, joy and fun so that kids with skin disease can feel supported and seen for who they are beneath their skin.
WHEN: June 14 – 19, 2026
HOW: Camp Wonder covers all costs, including airfare, so that no family pays to attend this WONDERful experience. Children’s Skin Disease Foundation raises money all year to cover 100% food, lodging, activity, programming and travel expenses. To apply, visit www.csdf.org or email [email protected].
