Turn the Page Uganda

Turn the Page Uganda We are working to bring books to the students and teachers in northern Uganda. Vision: Our purpose is to raise funds in the U.S.

to purchase Ugandan State curriculum in Kampala, Uganda. This curriculum is chosen by teachers at various schools in Northern Uganda, which are extremely poor and in dire need of textbooks. Once the teachers have selected $500.00 American dollars worth of textbooks, these books are boxed up and sent by bus up to their remote locations to our contact people, who will distribute the books to the school. These top of the line books should help improve test scores.

Hey Santa Barbara Friends, We have an interesting speaker coming from Washington DC to talk about the following. I'd love to see some friendly faces at the event. This world we live in is complicated. Sometimes you just need to step back, learn from someone who has studied it, and move forward in a positive direction. If this sounds like you, please join us!

War doesn’t just destroy buildings. It can disrupt childhoods, silences dreams, and reshapes entire futures.
Across the world, millions of children are missing out on education—not by choice, but because conflict has made learning unsafe, inaccessible, or impossible.

Oh happy day.....Springs Primary School in Arua receive their new textbooks! We wish them success in their learning and hope many are able to pass exams and move on to the next grade level. It does take a village to help students succeed. From their dedicated teachers, to the people at Aristoc Bookstore who package up the order selected by the teachers, to those of you reading this and donating money to help pay for those books, and to Rotarians who help get the books to the schools. Each part leads to a better, more prepared society. THANK YOU for your part in making this magic happen!

Imagine a classroom where children gather around, eager to dive into stories that have the ability to spark imaginations and inspire their futures. For many schools in Uganda, this vision is still out of reach due to a lack of resources. Turn the Page is dedicated to changing this.

Turning pages, and changing futures! With every dollar donated, new opportunities are created for children in Uganda to learn, dream, and grow. Help us at Turn the Page to plant the seeds of knowledge, one book at a time!

I woke up Sunday to a couple of messages from Uganda wishing me a Happy Mother's Day. I thought- that's strange- I didn't know it was Mother's Day. Well, it was INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY! So nice to have people half a world away remember me! Turn the Page Uganda is working on another 15 schools spread across the north of Uganda from Arua, to Lira, and Soroti. New books for desperate kids. Such an exciting opportunity to change lives! Donate any amount to help us continue this support.

When you think of spring, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Blooming flowers? Fresh air? Well, we at Turn the Page Uganda ask you to expand your ideals of spring to include giving to those in need. Aid in our mission of spreading education across borders and take the opportunity to extend a helping hand to children in Uganda!

Access to books is access to opportunities for these children. Use this upcoming spring season to help children in Uganda blossom! With your support, these kids can receive the education they deserve in order to facilitate a brighter future ahead of them. Help us turn these books into new opportunities for children in Uganda with a donation today! Visit turnthepageuganda.org for more information on how you can get involved.

Yes. It’s not easy to fundraise, it real takes God, especially when you explain to the people that in Africa, there people who go without food for some days, no access to go to school. No clean water, they end up saying, can’t the government help?
Hahaha, which government, of Uganda??
May God continue to raise people like you who are real understanding of what people are going through.
May God help my mother land, I’m so worried of the next generation.
Did you know that out of %100 students who start in elementary school only %40 accomplish education?
So sad.
Do you know that we have a percentage of 30% of Ugandan population are orphans under age of 5-18
Due to wars, road accidents and HIV AIDS
We have a number of 35%of our population are single mothers from the age of 16-45?
So sad indeed.
Only % 40 can access clean water in Uganda!!
May God continue to use you Mrs. Harbsions to reaching out with books.
Kind regards.
