A huge thank you to Angel Speier and Susannah Rao, this year’s Golden Gala co-chairs, who have been working quietly behind the scenes to make this year’s event a meaningful and impactful night in support of the families we serve. 💛

We’re so grateful for the heart they’ve brought to this year’s Gala—and for the personal “why” behind their commitment to Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation.

Their dedication is a beautiful reminder that behind every event, every dollar raised, and every moment of support are real children and families navigating an incredibly difficult journey.

Thank you, Angel and Susannah, for championing our families and helping us make this year’s Golden Gala one to remember. 💛✨

A heartfelt thank you to members of the Albertsons team for spending time with us at Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation and seeing firsthand the impact of the Teddy Market.

Thanks to their generous support, families facing childhood cancer have access to nutritious groceries, snacks, and essential household items at no cost—helping ease one more burden during treatment.

Since opening earlier this year, the Teddy Market has welcomed more than 140 family visits, providing food, pantry staples, and everyday necessities to local families when they need them most.

✨ Where Are They Now? ✨

We often share the stories of our TBCF Kids during treatment—but have you ever wondered where they are now?

Today, we’re honored to spotlight one of our incredible adult alumni, Wyatt Taylor. Wyatt was 8 years old at the time of diagnosis, and 17 years later, he is doing some pretty amazing things with his life!

In addition to his personal accomplishments, he still gives back by helping deliver Project Turkey baskets to some of our current families. We are so proud of Wyatt for all he is doing with his life!🎗️

We are so grateful to the incredible students of Cabrillo High School in Lompoc for supporting our families through various fundraising activities this past school year. To date, they have raised over $6,000 for our programs!

They hosted bake sales, made luminaries for donations to Teddy Bear, and hosted a color run after school. Their girls volleyball team honored those who have cancer by wearing tye-dye colored shirts to represent all the various types of cancer. In October, their Medical Interest Club gave up their lunch breaks every Friday to count money raised by each classroom during the week.

They are an amazing example of a community of students who have been touched in one way or another by cancer, and chose to give back throughout the year in meaningful ways.

If you are a teacher or student in the tri-counties who would like to get your school involved, let us know! You can make an impact. 🧸🎗️
