Interested in a future career in fire service, emergency response, or public safety?

Join Santa Barbara County Fire Department for one of their upcoming Exploring Program information sessions! These events are a great opportunity for youth (ages 14 - 20) and their families to learn more about Exploring, meet local fire service professionals, and discover how the program can help young people gain hands-on experience, leadership skills, and career insight.

Upcoming sessions will be held in Orcutt, Goleta, Solvang, and Lompoc.

Reminder! Our service centers are closed today in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. Both service centers will reopen tomorrow (June 20) with regular business hours.

The Santa Barbara Service Center is closed today, June 2nd due to illness. At this time, we are not sure when the Service Center / Store will reopen. Please call ahead prior to driving over at 805-967-0105.

The San Luis Obispo Service Center will close at 4:30pm today and will be closed on Friday, June 5.

This weekend at Camp Rancho Alegre, our Scouts and leaders are building lifesaving skills during our Wilderness First Aid course 🏕️⛑️

From treating injuries in remote settings to learning how to respond with confidence when it matters most, these participants are gaining hands-on experience that prepares them for real-world outdoor adventures.

National System Maintenance and Update

On Tuesday, May 5, 2026 My.Scouting, Scoutbook, and Scoutbook Plus will be unavailable for approximately 4 hours due to scheduled maintenance starting at 8 PM PST. We apologize for the inconvenience.
