This weekend at Camp Rancho Alegre, our Scouts and leaders are building lifesaving skills during our Wilderness First Aid course ๐Ÿ•๏ธโ›‘๏ธ

From treating injuries in remote settings to learning how to respond with confidence when it matters most, these participants are gaining hands-on experience that prepares them for real-world outdoor adventures.

Thank you to our dedicated instructors and volunteers who make opportunities like this possible!

๐ŸŒผ Thousands of daffodils are now blooming in Atascadero thanks to local Scouts!

Last December, Scouts from Troop 51 planted around 5,000 daffodil bulbs throughout the community as part of a beautification project. Now those bulbs are blooming and brightening the city for everyone to enjoy.

Itโ€™s a great reminder of the impact young people can make when they step up to serve their community. Weโ€™re proud of these Scouts and the difference theyโ€™re making! ๐Ÿ‘

Around 10,000 daffodil bulbs are beginning to bloom in Atascadero. They were first planted by the Atascadero Boy Scout Troop 51 in December 2025.

โœจ Celebrating Outstanding Service in Scouting โœจ

This past Saturday, we had the privilege of gathering at the Los Padres Council Annual Recognition Dinner at the beautiful Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach, Autograph Collection to celebrate the incredible volunteers and Scouts who make our program strong.

During the evening, we were honored to present seven Lifesaving and Meritorious Action Awards, recognizing Scouts and leaders whose quick thinking, courage, and commitment to helping others truly reflect the values of Scouting.

We were also proud to recognize Dan Cooper as this yearโ€™s Silver Beaver Award recipient, Scoutingโ€™s highest honor for distinguished volunteer service at the council level. Danโ€™s dedication and lasting impact on Scouting in our community exemplify the spirit of servant leadership.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special evening and to the volunteers who continue to make a difference in the lives of the youth we serve.

๐Ÿ“ธ Photos from the evening are now available in the album below! Feel free to tag yourself and fellow Scouting friends.
