Keep Cool
When temperatures are very high, make sure to:

Wear lightweight, light colored clothing and a hat outdoors.
Wear sunscreen and avoid too much sun.
Slow down and avoid exercise during the hottest parts of the day.
Stay in air-conditioned buildings as much as possible. If your home doesn’t have air conditioning or if there was a power outage, find a public place you can go to get out of the heat:

Libraries, shopping malls, and community centers can be cool places to go.
Ask neighbors, friends or family if they have a cool place you can hang out.
Call your local county to find a location near you to keep cool.
If you work outside:

Take breaks to cool down.
Your employer must give you water, rest, and shade.

____________
Mantente fresco

Tu empleador debe proporcionarte agua, descanso y sombra.

Critical Fire weather conditions are possible Wednesday through Thursday morning, impacting portions of Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties, as well as Sundowner-wind-prone areas of Southern Santa Barbara County.

A sundowner is a northerly offshore wind in California along the southern Pacific slope of the Santa Ynez Mountains, in communities along the Gaviota Coast, Santa Barbara, and Montecito. Sundowners are particularly dangerous during wildfire season because the air heats and dries as it descends from the mountains to the sea. Gale-force hot, dry winds can make firefighting impossible.

Wind gusts of 35 to 55 mph

Monsoon thunderstorms today, continuing throughout the week, with possible dry lightning fire starts

Extreme Heat warnings and Heat advisories are expected for much of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles Counties Tuesday through Thursday
