The Courthouse Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation, preservation, restoration, enhancement, and educational legacy of the Santa Barbara Courthouse. Though it looks indestructible, in truth, this massive building is deteriorating from age, environment and public use. The County of Santa Barbara is responsible for the general maintenance of the Courth
ouse, but does not have the artistic resources or funds to authentically restore this magnificent structure. The Courthouse Legacy Foundation exists to preserve this historic landmark by maintaining and restoring Courthouse structures, and educating locals and visitors on the importance of this building.
