We are so grateful to Paris for returning another year.

Paris is a well known professional dancer, choreographer, teacher, and creative director in California. Paris has credits dancing with and for Eric Bellinger, SZA, Kamillion, Mar, Samantha Caudle, Melissa Barlow, D Main and more. She has competed on Latin TV and Hiphop International making it to the semi finals. Paris is the founder and creator of The P$ Experience and P$ Academy. She offers classes for all ages in Hiphop and Jazz funk, and also specializes in Adult Heels classes.

Make a plan for Sustainable Travel to Juneteenth Santa Barbara!

Please make a conscious choice to have a lower environmental impact by traveling to Juneteenth SB by walking, bike, bus, or train. This weekend will be busy with UCSB graduation, the No Kings Protest, and more!We encourage you to check out Amtrak if you are traveling from out of town - the station is walking distance. Alternatively, consider using Santa Barbara MTD if you are coming from within Goleta to Carpinteria, or consider biking, if you are able. bikes are available for rent!

Parking is available in the Pershing Park parking lot, ocean front parking lots, and SBCC parking lots.

Back at it again! Appreciation to for joining us this year, with the addition of a merch table where yall can purchase some of her merch and sounds!

In the vast array of human experience, there is an indulgence of sight and sound. It is at the intersection of Afro beats, Hip-hop, Neo-soul and classical masterpieces. It gives nod to various ethnicities and due reverence to the Creator. It is created to inspire and inspired to heal. At that very intersection, music lovers can share the common experience of refreshing their souls with the smooth yet rhythmic sounds of the one and only Kat Lincoln.

Kat’s captivating tone and wide vocal range bring to mind the likes of Billie Holiday, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu. The most important aspect of Kat’s music is her message – one that comes from a place of both purity and purpose.

Let’s talk about our stage this year - The Plaza Del Mar Band Shell!

website shares: “Established as a City park in 1899, Plaza del Mar was a favorite location for strolling and outdoor gatherings.

The Plaza del Mar Band Shell, a designated City of Santa Barbara landmark, was constructed in 1919 to provide a venue for public concerts. Five thousand people attended the opening concert on May 4, 1919, which featured a 22-piece municipal band.”

Through the generations the Band Shell and park have hosted thousands of events and people - we know from our elders that this park was also a place where our community would gather and play games like dominos and spades (which we will do on Saturday too).

We are grateful that the City of Santa Barbara recently refurbished the Band Shell so that we can add our event(s) to this tradition!
