Integrated Resources Institute Integrated Resources Institute (IRI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the full inclusion of persons with disabilities into their community.

IRI Mentorworks provides day program services to adults with disabilities to find employment in their community. Our philosophy is "Everyone Works". We truly embody this motto as over 50% of our clients work in their community. Our services are provided under the philosophy of person centered planning. Everyone gets individualized services and we work on developing our client's interest, skills and preferences. We presume competence and focus on the "can do" instead of the "can't do". Through its MentorWorks program, IRI has facilitated over 20,000 community job placements for persons with disabilities in the US and Australia. Based on these successful Integrated Work outcomes, IRI has been awarded several local, state, federal and international grants. IRI also provides Supported Living, Educational Consultation and Professional Development services and consultation.

Adam Griffin is a dedicated and compassionate coach who provides person-centered support, helping the person he serves navigate daily challenges with patience, understanding, and respect.

He consistently meets the person where they are at, offering calm and supportive guidance while empowering them to make informed decisions throughout their day. This approach ensures that the person remains an active participant in their own support and is encouraged to build confidence and independence.

Through Adamโ€™s encouragement, advocacy, and ongoing support, the person served has achieved significant success in pursuing their passion for music. Most notably, he has secured three contract positions playing piano at various nursing homes and community locations within his local area.

This is an accomplishment that the person once believed may never be possible. Adamโ€™s ability to foster confidence, identify opportunities, and support the person in reaching their goals has played a key role in helping them achieve meaningful employment and increased community involvement.

Adamโ€™s positive impact is evident not only in the outcomes achieved but also in the growth, self-belief, and independence demonstrated by the person he supports. His commitment to empowering individuals to reach their full potential is truly commendable.

We would like to recognize Coach Greg Nelson for the exceptional work he continues to demonstrate as an Employment Coach. His attention to detail, thoroughness, and determination consistently stand out, and he approaches his work with genuine care for the people we support and the impact he can make.

Throughout his journey with the person he currently supports, he has navigated challenges with the person's company closing and opportunities with patience, persistence, and a strong commitment to person-centered support.

He has been a wonderful catalyst for growth while ensuring the person remains at the center of their own employment journey, promoting independence, self-advocacy, and long-term success. Mara consistently demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to the people she supports. She is dependable, punctual, and consistently provides high-quality, person-centered services.

Throughout person served Tanya's Paid Internship, Mara has provided exceptional support by offering ongoing coaching, encouragement, and workplace guidance. During the job development process, she incorporated American Sign Language (ASL) into her coaching, helping Tanya expand her ASL vocabulary, strengthen her consistency in using sign language, and build confidence in communicating with others.

Through Mara's dedicated support, Tanya has continued to develop her workplace skills, enhance her communication abilities, increase her confidence, and gain greater independence.

Richard consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication, flexibility, and person-centered support in everything he does. Whether serving individuals across multiple caseloads, collaborating effectively with three Support Managers, or stepping in wherever support is needed, he approaches every opportunity with professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude.

Through his work as an ILS Mentor in our Empowered Living services, Richard has built strong, meaningful relationships with the people he supports and their circles of support, ensuring services are personalized, impactful, and empowering. He has forged genuine bonds with supported individuals, and it is clear they enjoy the connection, guidance, and support he provides.

Richard goes above and beyond to ensure every person feels heard, respected, and valued. His compassion, teamwork, and commitment to helping others achieve their goals consistently make a positive difference. We regularly hear outstanding feedback about his professionalism, collaborative spirit, and the positive experience others have when working alongside him.

Richard's willingness to support others, pick up shifts when needed, and consistently put the people we serve first makes him an invaluable member of the IRI team and a truly deserving recipient of the Employee Spotlight Award.

โœจ Thriving Thursday- Connor's Story โœจ

This week, we're checking in with Connor as he shares what a typical day looks like working at Critter Squad.

Each work day, Connor helps care for the animals by preparing their food, cleaning enclosures, and making sure they have what they need. His passion for caring for the animals is reflected in the work he does each day.

Every job has an impact, and Connor's role is no exception. Through his dedication and daily contributions, he's building a future filled with purpose while making a difference for the animals he cares for.
