We are thrilled to co-host with IHQC and Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County the 2026 Quality Improvement Summit in Long Beach, CA at the Long Beach Marriott this Friday, September 18th.

This is a first and not last collaboration in the nine years since the summit has been held. The annual Quality Improvement Summit since 2018- is an event that provides dedicated and dynamic space for QI professionals, care providers, and leaders in CA’s safety net to share best practices, insights, and collaborative opportunities with their peers.

It's a full day of quality improvement with great speakers and panels! We are excited to highlight Coalition OC staff and members presenting at the Summit.

Our President & CEO, Isabel Becerra and Louise McCarthy, CCALAC President & CEO will open the summit with welcoming remarks.

Sonia Shah, Coalition OC Chief Transformation Officer will be part of the Mid-Day Plenary on Quality Improvement in a Changing Policy Landscape, along side with

Closing out the day, Ryan Yamamoto, Coalition OC Chief Administrative & Strategy Officer and Matt Moyer, CCALAC Senior Director of Clinic Services will provide closing remarks.

Summer community outreach events is our vibe!

🎒📚 At Back to School Night at Orangethorpe Elementary, our Healthcare Navigator Isa shared resources on Medi-Cal, Covered California, CalFresh, and CalWORKs—and the importance of having health coverage. The event was attended by approximately 225 parents and children excited to start the new school year with resources.

We also joined the National Night Out with Boys & Girls Clubs at Paseo Village, where Isa and our newest Healthcare Navigator, Monique, shared healthcare, food assistance, and MATCONNECT program information on medication-assisted treatment.

Together, we’re connecting our community to the resources they need to thrive.

This morning during the Orange County Board of Supervisors meeting, Coalition of Orange County Community Health Centers and our members received proclamations in recognition of National Health Center Week August 2-8. The Board of Supervisors also recognized the vital work community health centers do every day to build and deliver innovative, high-quality care where it matters most—within the communities they serve.

Thank you Supervisor Vicente Sarmiento for your steadfast leadership in bringing this proclamation forward with support from OC Supervisor Katrina Foley, O.C. Supervisor Doug Chaffee, Supervisor Don Wagner, and Supervisor Janet Nguyen for recognizing the critical role of community health centers in our OC healthcare and safety net system.

Our President & CEO Isabel Becerra made a few remarks of gratitude and importance of supporting community health centers.

Congratulations to our member health centers! We were honored to stand with some of our members attending the presentation of the proclamations.
