We are on the Front Page of Local Newspapers!
The lovely and enterprising Susan Irvine, a long-time supporter of VTS who enjoys
attending our teas, contacted me mid-March and offered to have an article of our Spring Bling Tea in the local newspaper, as a way to raise awareness about our fundraising efforts for the Heritage Museum. She just asked that we provide a 500-word draft, some photos, and allow a media person to attend the Tea.
I contacted Georgia Guerrero and she agreed to write an article about the event.
Georgia, who the morning of the Tea was at the off-site kitchen preparing sandwiches and later on morphed into a guest and actually sat down to tea with friends, was the perfect choice for this because she was able to explain the reason of all we do and the various ways VTS supports the Heritage Museum, and also about the Museum’s programs and tours.
Susan Irvine also attended the Tea along with several charming friends, and amongst them was Beverly Farmer, the art director for multiple newspapers in Orange County. And a connection was made!
Georgia submitted the article to Susan, I sent her multiple photos taken by members and guests, and lo and behold, Susan made it happen! She worked on the article for the newspapers and submitted it to Beverly, and so now VTS is being featured prominently in several local newspapers! And by several I mean about 30 weekly newspapers in OC! Some are printed, some are online, so check out weekly newspapers in Mission Viejo, San Clemente, Coto de Caza, Ladera Ranch, Newport… you get the idea.
And I am happy to say, all VTS members featured look great! Nancy, Carol, Linda,
Angie… you are so photogenic!
Thank you, Georgia Guerrero, for writing the article.
Thank you, Beverly Farmer, for publishing the article about VTS.
Thank you, Susan Irvine, for being so supportive of VTS and making it happen.
