The SCCF and Sanibel-Captiva Art League (SCAL) will present “Plein Air in Sanibel ” from March 10-20 at the Bailey Homestead Preserve, at 1300 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. The exhibit will feature fresh works of art that align with and highlight the SCCF’s mission to protect and care for Southwest Florida’s coastal ecosystems and that celebrate the Bailey Homestead. All work will be available for sale, with a portion to benefit the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation.

Experience an inspiring 3-day event featuring a unique collaboration between the talented floral designers of the Shell Islands Garden Club and the creative artists of the Sanibel-Captiva Art League. The event will showcase imaginative pairings where live floral arrangements are thoughtfully designed to interpret and reflect selected 2D artworks. Each floral display brings a fresh perspective to the artistic pieces, offering visitors a new way to appreciate both art forms. Details below.

The Captiva Civic Association (CCA) and the Sanibel-Captiva Art League (SCAL) are pleased to announce the return of their popular annual juried art exhibition, taking place March 19 to April 16, 2026. The exhibit titled “Reflections” encompasses a vibrant showcase of freshly rendered works highlighting the creativity of artists from SCAL, CCA, and affiliate members of the Art Council of Southwest Florida. All works are available for purchase, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Captiva Civic Association.

The exhibition hosted at the Captiva Civic Center, 11550 Chapin Lane, Captiva, FL 33924, begins with an Opening Reception for the public on March 19 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Hop on over to all of the Sanibel Galleries today, the Community House, and the regional pop up tents from 2-5pm for the inaugural Sundays on Sanibel Art Hop. Support your local artists, get your passport stamped (available at all participants), and cash in your stamps for a beverage at Doc Ford’s! It’s a beautiful day to take your eyes for a walk.

Get your feet to our next juried show at the popular Sanibel Community house, entitled “Cast Ashore.” The opening reception will be January 7, from 4:30 to 6:30 with refreshments and music. Start off the New Year with your friends and neighbors and some beautiful art in the heart of our community.

The public is cordially invited to view fresh works of art created by the Sanibel-Captiva Art League, affiliate members of the Art Council of Southwest Florida, and the Sanibel Community Association "The Community House". All artwork celebrating gifts from the sea that washed ashore, are available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds to benefit SCA initiatives. Admission and parking are free. Opening Reception Wednesday, January 7, 2026, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm. Refreshments and music on the patio provided by SCH.
