We ensure that girls ages 10-19 have the required support and resources, to earn their High School Diploma and be prepared for college and/or career. is a 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit Organization which provides educational and empowerment opportunities to Girls. We strive to build their self-esteem by developing positive Social Skills, Leadership Skills, and Educational Enhancement by earning their High School Diploma.

Day 5: Glow Girl Summer Camp πŸ₯—πŸŒΏ A special thank you to Dr. Sandra Gallina, our Health Guru, who is passionate about teaching our jewels how to live healthier lives!

During our session, we chopped fresh vegetables and herbs, learned about nutritious food choices, and even had the opportunity to sample her delicious Butterfly Herbal Tea. Dr. Gallina challenged our jewels to be open to trying new foods, reminding them that even if something isn't their favorite at first, they should give it a chance because, "It's good for me!"

By the end of the lesson, the snacks, candy and store bought salad dressings were put away, and the vegetables took center stage! We even made our own homemade salad dressing! πŸ₯•πŸ₯’πŸ₯— Our jewels proudly enjoyed a meatless salad for lunch and discovered that healthy eating can be both fun and delicious.

Dr. Gallina generously gifted each jewel a health kit that included a salad bowl, a healthy eating guide, and wooden spoons to encourage healthy habits at home.

✨ Glow Girl Summer Camp – Another Day of Learning & Growth! ✨
We started our day with a Hygiene 101 discussion led by our amazing Role Model Mentors, focusing on the importance of personal care, healthy habits, and self-confidence.

Next, our jewels participated in a To***co and Medication Safety Awareness Workshop facilitated by the Florida Department of Health. They learned about the effects of to***co and drug use, how to properly read medication labels, and the importance of following dosage instructions. The session also included an engaging activity where the girls shared whether they strongly agreed, disagreed, or felt it depends on various health-related scenarios.

We were also honored to welcome Ms. Carolina from , who shared her inspiring career journey and how she secured her dream job. She discussed the importance of education, exploring different career paths, and building strong networks to create future opportunities.

We ended our day with our dedicated Role Model Mentor and teacher, Mrs. Tillman, who led a math tutoring session and reviewed multiplication tables with our jewels, helping to strengthen their skills and confidence.

Day 2: Glow Girl Summer Camp! ✨

Today was all about building practical life skills and confidence!

Knowing how to iron clothes is a valuable life skill for our jewels. It promotes independence, creates a polished and professional appearance, and helps extend the life of clothing. Our jewels learned how to fill an iron with water, select the proper setting for different fabrics, and safely glide the iron across garments. πŸ‘šπŸ‘—

Next, we tackled a skill that is becoming less common in today's digital worldβ€”reading an analog clock! ⏰ Digital clocks are everywhere, but what if all you see is a clock on the wall? Our jewels learned how to confidently tell time the old-fashioned way.

We also practiced writing our signatures in cursive because we have big checks to sign one day! 😊 With many schools no longer teaching cursive, it's important that our jewels know how to create a signature that is uniquely their own. ✍

Communication is key to success, so we ended the day with a public speaking workshop. Each jewel selected a topic of her choice and spoke for one minute. Their peers evaluated them on eye contact, body language, vocal tone, and the use of engaging filler words. It was wonderful to watch their confidence grow as they found their voices and shared their thoughts. πŸ“£πŸ—£
