As we dive deep into year 19 of Stuff the Bus Maine, my love and support for teachers is my driving force. I love helping kids, but I am all too aware that every supply I give to the kids, is one less supply their teachers have to provide. I honestly believe if most people knew what teachers have to provide for their students they would be absolutely shocked.

Stuff the Bus Maine, partnered with GVSNA employees, for a Christmas Backpack project. Together we sponsored 19 residential youth from Sweetser. Each child also received a backpack full of school supplies, and a Christmas stocking full of candy and fun little toys. Thank you to all the little Elvs who participated you know who you are!

Stuff the Bus Maine, is once again partnering with GVSNA employees to sponsor 19, Sweetser residential youth. These children range in age from 7 years old to age 18. Please keep in mind that just because a youth is chronologically 18, that in fact they may be developementally, much younger. We give them full backpacks of school supplies as well as small gifts to go in the backpacks. If you want to assist in this effort please email me at [email protected]. My volunteer youth canceled, so I'm getting started on my own. By the way the kids wish lists included items like blankets and towels.

It’s year 18, and time to Stuff the Bus, at Sanford Walmart! We will be having our first bus day Saturday August 2nd, from 9 am until 4 pm! We cannot continue this program without more volunteers, please consider giving a few hours of your time. This is a perfect opportunity for families to volunteer together. If you have a High School student, this is the perfect opportunity for them to get their community service hours in, even before the start of school. I keep the community service hours forms right with me at the bus! Also students starting grade 9 in the fall, whom do community service over the summer, can complete their hours even before they start the first day of High School.
