Excited to help RISE bring their work to Seminole County!

We're deeply grateful to Big Nova Foundation for their generous support of families experiencing homelessness in Seminole County.

Together, we served 85 families - including 165 children - through our Pathways to Home program this past year, including 27 families in Seminole County. That support included ongoing case management and housing maintenance services for families we'd previously housed, as well as helping 15 Seminole County families move into new, permanent housing.

And we're not stopping at case management. With Big Nova Foundation's support, we're expanding our work in Seminole County to bring families together through peer support groups and new opportunities for connection - building community alongside stability. Stay tuned for more updates!

Salvation Army in Sanford is part of Seminole County's Emergency Management Response Team. With a Big Nova Foundation grant they were able to purchase a specialized mobile Disaster Unit so they can reach people who aren't able to get out to get help. Salvation Army has been part of the Sanford community for decades and we're proud to support their work.

Last week we participated in the wall raising ceremony at Legacy Square- Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County and Greater Apopka 's new community of homes in Sanford. We know the lack of affordable housing is driving the homelessness crisis in our area and are committed to the fight to change that.

✨ Thankful Thursday ✨
Today, we're shining a spotlight on an organization that has truly made a difference — the Big Nova Foundation.
Through their generous funding via Second Harvest Food Bank, Big Nova has helped us provide more than 56,000 meals to food insecure children right here in Seminole County. That number represents real children — full bellies, brighter mornings, and the ability to simply be a child.

But Big Nova doesn't just write a check and walk away. They show up. Their team has joined us on the floor for food bag packing, rolling up their sleeves alongside our volunteers and making their commitment to this community personal.

We are so deeply grateful for a partner who doesn't just talk about change — they are Sparking Hope and Igniting Lasting Change in Central Florida, one meal at a time.

Busy weekend playing in the UYA golf tournament and packing bags with Both organizations are supporting Seminole County youth this summer!

We had so much fun this morning packing food bags for schools in Seminole County. Around 50,000 individuals in Seminole County deal with food insecurity- which goes up during summer time when kids aren't getting meals at school. It's a great time to volunteer at a food sharing organization- and a great project kids can help with!

Spent the afternoon on the river with Some of our best memories are on Florida's iconic river for sunset pontoon cruises and Sunday afternoon adventures to find a new rope swings to splash down from. There is no doubt that now is the time to protect it, to restore it, and to plan for a future where wild Florida stays wild. Check out the work they're doing to further this fight for future generations of Floridians.

We had a great time celebrating .cfl last night. We are dedicated to the housing crisis in Central Florida and ROM is not only the only emergency shelter in Seminole County but leading the way on getting individuals and families into stable housing.

Last week we had the honor of attending Gold Gala and meeting Dr. Allison O'Neill an absolutely inspiring scientist dedicated to helping children survive pediatric cancer. Since the cuts to NIH cancer research funding began, the science of women and people of color is disproportionately being defunded. We are doubling down on our support of research.
