SPECIAL REQUEST FOR SUPPORT:

My daughter attends Barton College and will graduate on May 11th with a Bachelor's Degree at the age of 19. When she started at Barton she realized that they do not honor Veterans Day in any way. She complained and even went to the president of the school. So this all being said she is a member of the Legion Riders. I would like to pick her up from graduation on my bike with a large group of riders and veterans to show support. If it all possible can anyone or any group that would like to help arrive at the Legion Post 13 at the Wilson County Fairgrounds by 1130 on May 11th with KSU at 12. (well I will contact the group when the event is coming to an end). The group will ride from the Fairgrounds to Barton and pick her up. I will already be there. And if everyone wants we can ride together to go eat or back to the fairgrounds. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please pass this onto anyone you can think of. Thank You in advance.

Well folks we have gone strong for 6 years to bring awareness to this community for the need of adaptability to our playgrounds for kids of all levels to be able to play together. I am proud to say that we have done it. A vision by a mother and father (Ellie Leslie and Brandon Clothier ) has shown everyone what this community can do when it pulls together. Every single dollar we have ever raised has been from the pocket of hard working people in our community.
It is time for us to make one last push for a final park in an area of the county that is often overlooked but still needs our help. So we are announcing our last fundraiser! We will have a poker run and end it at Home At Last Farms, LLC with a family fun day. The flyer is posted with times and details.
We are also in need of sponsors for this event either in monetary or items for silent and live auction.
PLEASE SHARE WITH ANYONE AND EVERYONE possible so we can finish our goal strong and keep making kids smile!!!
Thank you for all of your support during this endeavor and know that you have all made differences in kids' lives!

I’d like to make a request for an old Vietnam Vet.
A close friend of mine asked this of me:
Wondered if you would be interested in sending my dad a b-day card. He turns 75 March 5. He hasn't been in the best of spirits lately and I am trying to show that there are still good people out here. I want to flood him with cards from all kinds of people from all over. So if you think of anyone else that might want to put a smile on an old vets face I would appreciate it. His address is, if you can.
Terry Ackman

Terry was an infantryman in Vietnam. He went on many LRRP (Long-Range Reconnaissance Patrols) where he and his team would stay in the jungle for weeks. He didn't talk much about the specifics, but we can all imagine what he had to do to survive. He has given and risked more of himself than I could ever imagine. If you can find the time, please consider sending him a birthday card. Thank you!ā¤ļø

Come Ride with the Scorpions MC of Sanford for Up Day (up day= the day of the year they are all supposed to have a running bike by šŸ˜†)

This Ride will start at 1349 Bogan St, Sanford, NC 27330 @ the Sanford Scorpions Club house, March 11th at noon, and will continue to a Cemetery in Lillington where they will pay respects to there fallen brothers for 5 or 10 mins, (we will have to ride behind them) followed by a ride back to their club house for Plates of food, I've heard the food will be Boston Butt, and sides ($10/plate) they also have a bar with a selection of a few different kinds of beer, not many, but I can possibly get a list of what they have. They'll have beer, liquor, and soda. Not certain on the prices of the beverages as a final number, but this is what they have cost in the past.

Plates of food $10/per
Beers-$2
Soda-$1
Mixed drinks-$3
Shots $3-4 depending on the brand

Kickstand up in Sanford at 12, the ride is free, they plan to be back at the clubhouse around lunch. I can get back to yall on a exact time lunch will be, if you cant make the ride and would like to come to the party. You don't have to ride, to come and hang at the club house after. They have a pool table and music, and outdoor space to relax, and I believe a fire barrel as well. Please mark coming if you plan to come to this event so I can let them know if we need more food or not, if not, when the plates are gone, that's it.

Come out, bring your friends/significant others, and meet the guys, (AND ME 😁) and have some fun! Can't wait to see yall!!

The Scorpions Clubhouse is located on the same road as the Sanford VFW for reference.
