🖤 Jackson Is Still Looking for His Forever Home 🖤

Hi, it’s Jackson again! 🐾

I’m 1½ years old and still waiting for my forever family. Believe it or not, I’ve only had one phone call about me so far, and I’m hoping my special person just hasn’t seen my post yet.

My eye continues to improve every day. While I may always have some discoloration, it doesn’t slow me down one bit! I’m a happy, affectionate boy who loves attention and being part of the action.

Hi, it’s Jackson again! Are you ready for me? Because I’m finally ready for my forever home. 🖤

My eye keeps getting better every day! While I may have some permanent discoloration, it continues to improve, and it certainly doesn’t slow me down.

I love being the center of attention and will happily follow you around the house—especially if breakfast is involved. Sharing is caring, right?

I do great with dogs, kids, and cats, and I really thrive in a busy home with lots of love, activity, and playmates.

🐾 Now Available for Adoption – Beatrice 🐾

Beatrice is a beautiful young dog, approximately 1 year old, who recently arrived from Florida and is now searching for a loving forever home.

She has already been seen by a veterinarian and is currently in the process of being spayed. Beatrice is house trained, knows the command “sit,” and is working on improving her leash manners.

Beatrice is affectionate, people-friendly, and does well with children. She is an energetic young dog who would thrive with an active family committed to continuing her training and giving her plenty of exercise and attention.

At this time, Beatrice would do best as the only dog in the home.

🚨 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Three tiny comedians in cat suits 🚨

These 10-month-old kitties are looking for homes, and honestly… they may be TOO friendly. Like, “follows you into the bathroom to supervise” friendly. “Personal space is a myth” friendly. 😹

Meet the cast:

🐯 Gidget — tiger bobtail female. Tiny tail, giant personality. Probably plotting world domination but will pause for snacks and cuddles.

🖤🤍 Richard — tuxedo bobtail male. Dressed for a formal event at all times, yet somehow still manages to act like a complete goofball.

🔥 LT — flamepoint male. Handsome enough to know it, but sweet enough to get away with everything.

✔️ Very playful
✔️ VERY affectionate
✔️ Healthy, clean, and well-socialized
✔️ Have met Sally the dog and didn’t hiss, panic, or file complaints with management

With proper introductions, they’d likely do great with respectful dogs and adapt well to new homes.

Basically, if you’ve ever wanted tiny furry roommates who think you’re the greatest thing ever, this is your moment.

There is something special about tiger cats! 🐯🐾
No fancy colors — just soft stripes and curious, expressive eyes.

The volunteers at Another Chance Animal Rescue noticed that our shelter has several beautiful tiger cats, and we wanted you to meet them!

🐾 PIPER is a 2-year-old sweetheart who is very friendly and outgoing. She loves to eat and never turns down a treat! Piper enjoys making eye contact with visitors as they stop to chat with her.

🐾 CALLIE is the youngest of our tiger crew at about 1½ years old. She has a gentle nature and absolutely loves being petted.

🐾 ROMEO is a young male cat who truly lives up to his name. This handsome big boy will capture your attention with his charm. He loves to “talk” and tell you all about his day, and he has a wonderfully kind personality.

🐾 GARY is a 1½-year-old male with an outgoing and loving personality. He is FIV positive, which means he has a weakened immune system, but many FIV-positive cats live long, healthy, happy lives with proper care. Gary would do best as the only cat in his new home or with other calm, FIV-friendly cats. He loves playing with toys, enjoys attention from people, and is sure to win your heart.

The chronicles of Squeaky and Gizmo — the final chapter. 🐾

We had a lovely stay with a foster over the winter, but due to travel plans, we ended up at Petsmart in Biddeford.

While Squeaky was more reserved at Petsmart, Gizmo flourished and soaked up every bit of love and attention she could get. After some time, we both started settling in and eagerly watched shoppers pass by while waiting for our forever person.

Finally — someone returning from their own vacation saw us and decided to take a chance on us. ❤️

We are settling into our beautiful new home, though we quickly decided confinement was no longer acceptable and demanded our release!

Our new human says we are doing wonderfully, happily exploring the house, enjoying bird watching, and even allowing pets for both of us.

And so concludes the chronicles of Squeaky and Gizmo. From uncertainty to safety, from waiting to belonging, we finally found our perfect new beginning together. 🏡✨

🧡 Thank You, Dragon Star Creations🧡

We want to give a huge, heartfelt thank you to Dragon Star Creations for hosting such an incredible fundraiser event for Another Chance Animal Rescue.

Because of this event—and the amazing community that showed up—we received an outpouring of support, including generous cash donations and much-needed supplies.

Our volunteers also truly enjoyed meeting so many of our supporters in person—it meant so much to connect with the people who make our work possible. 🐾

Events like this make a real difference for so many animals in our care. We are so grateful for the time, effort, and heart that went into making it such a success.

Thank you for being part of her journey and helping us continue our mission.

🧡 Octavia Update 🧡

Just a little check-in on our sweet girl…

Octavia is continuing to recover from her knee reconstruction surgery and is doing well. She’s still as loving and attention-seeking as ever—soaking up every bit of affection she can get. 🐾

Her stitches are scheduled to come out next Monday, which is an exciting next step! While she’s on the right track, she still has a bit more healing ahead of her before she’s fully back to running and playing.

We’re so grateful for all of you who made this possible and continue to support her through recovery. We’ll keep you posted as she continues healing. 🧡

Meet Pumpkin 🧡

Pumpkin came to our rescue in March after being surrendered when her family welcomed a new baby. With all the changes, she became stressed and had trouble adjusting—but we know her perfect match is out there.

This beautiful 5-year-old spayed female has long hair and stunning orange markings. She has that classic orange kitty personality—playful, curious, and just a little mischievous in the most endearing way. Pumpkin loves to be part of whatever is going on and isn’t shy about asking for attention. In fact, she’ll gently reach her soft paws through her cage, hoping to connect with anyone who passes by.

Our volunteers describe Pumpkin as sweet, engaging, and full of character. She’s not just looking for any home—she’s looking for the right home, where she can feel safe, comfortable, and truly be herself.

🧡 Update on Octavia 🧡

We’re so happy to share that Octavia’s surgery went well, and she is now resting comfortably and beginning her recovery in a foster home.

Because of your support, she made it through this huge step—and we can’t thank you enough for making it possible. Every donation, share, and kind word truly carried her here.

She’s already showing us her sweet, loving spirit, and we’re so hopeful for what’s ahead as she heals and regains her strength.

We’ll continue to keep you updated as she recovers, but for now, we just want to say thank you again for standing by her and giving her this chance at a better, pain-free life.
