On this 25th Anniversary of the tragedy that unfolded in New York, the Pentagon, and the fields of Pennsylvania, ket us once again vow to never forget those that died and those that have had their lives forever impacted by this horrific event in our Nation's history.
Let us never forget the New York firefighters that gave their lives so heroically by charging into danger as they did everyday before this one. The 343 FDNY firefighters and the one from the New York Fire patrol will always be remembered.
Let us never forget the 71 law enforcement officers that died that day in New York City. All upholding their sworn duty to protect and serve the great people of New York.
Let us never forget the 55 military personnel that died at the Pentagon, who trained for the dangers war and that day their lives were tragically taken while serving the country they loved.
Let us not forget the one U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services officer that died when Flight 93 crashed into the field near Shanksville, PA.
And let us not forget in total the 2,977 victims (I am not counting the terrorist) that tragically lost their lives in the worst terrorist attack in history.

It was because of this day that many of you great men and women, joined the military and eventually found your way into serving with the 4th Infantry Regiment. We are proud of the decisions you made that got you to this fine Regiment. During the course of the next 25 years the Regiment has lost many Warriors both in combat related incidents and non-combat related incidents. No greater honor has it been to serve with this Regiment and to continue to serve within the Association.

Let us remember and raise a toast to our brothers and sisters that are now resting and waiting to be rejoined one day together with their fellow Warriors from the 4th Infantry Regiment.

May God bless and keep each of you.

Warriors! Noli me Tangere!
