ARUP Blood Services is a non-profit blood center that holds over 500 hundred blood drives all over the state of Utah in support of the thousands of patients needing blood each year at Huntsman Cancer Hospital, University of Utah Hospitals. ARUP Blood Services needs 100 donors a day including 20 platelet donors a day to support these local Utah hospitals. ARUP Blood Services has donor centers in Sa

ndy and Research Park. We also hold blood drives each day with Utah businesses, high schools, churches, and other community groups.

ARUP will run three separate drawings in June for each category of donor who gives blood or platelets. To be entered into these drawings, all you have to do is donate!

Our categories of donors are:

🩸 Donors who make in-center donations
🩸 Donors who give at public blood drives
🩸 Donors who are ARUP employees

One donor in each category will receive one of the following prizes each month:

🥇 A $500 travel gift card
🥈 A $250 hotel/airline gift card
🥉 A $100 membership to the local attraction of your choice (e.g., the Hogle Zoo, the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, local museums, etc.)

Drawing winners will be announced in July, August, and September.

Did you know that ARUP offers employees paid time off (PTO) for donating blood?
Typically employees will receive 2 hours of PTO for donating whole blood and 4 hours of PTO for donating platelets. However, on our bonus days, employees can earn an additional 2 hours of PTO for donating whole blood or platelets.

Some upcoming bonus PTO days for whole blood donors include:
Saturday, May 30
Sunday, May 31
Friday, June 5
Monday, June 8
