No more parades. No more preview parties. No more children having balloon-sword fights with cricket antennae. No more people pointing and saying "I know what that is." No more grandmothers embarrassing their grandchildren when they discover that scanning a simple code opens up a world of information. No more late nights painting, stapling, gluing, foaming, carving, sanding, or creating. No more early mornings making sure everything is in proper order for the upcoming parade.

Someone called our float a happy float. It is happiest when surrounded by people.

So we bid our float farewell. Its happiness will live on in the hearts and minds of those who worked so hard to give it a brief existence. Its happiness will live on in those who were able to experience its beauty and wonder. It will live on in the friendships that were created and in the knowledge that we took on a daunting task and persevered to the end.
