The Utah Animal Advocacy Foundation (UAAF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization specializing in the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of homeless animals. UAAF is an active participant in the No More Homeless Pets in Utah coalition and is working closely with other coalition members to help end the euthanasia of homeless pets. We are an all-volunteer organization and rely entirely on public

support for our continued success. UAAF believes that every animal deserves a home regardless of age or disability. We specialize in the rescue and rehabilitation of 'special needs' animals including orphaned newborns, senior animals, injured animals, and animals with ongoing health problems. Since our founding in September 2002, we have successfully placed hundreds of these deserving animals into loving homes.

Curious and adventurous, Minnie loves playing chase with her sister Pepper, batting her favorite soft ball around the house, and finding new places to climb. A towering cat tree would be her dream playground!

Despite her independent streak, Minnie has a soft side. After a busy day of exploring, she’ll happily settle into a warm lap for a well-earned nap. She loves cozy Minky blankets, cuddles on her terms, and has a giant motor of a purr. She also fully expects to sleep on your pillow every night!

Behind this heavy, tangled coat is a soul who was forgotten for far too long.
As you can see, Shaggy survived months of neglect and pain under a severely matted coat. It was so bad, we couldn’t tell if he was a boy or a girl during intake.

When the Utah Animal Advocacy Foundation saw his shelter picture, we knew we couldn't leave him behind. Our volunteers sprang into action, pulling him to safety and taking him to the emergency vet. From there, he was sedated as they worked hard to remove the matting without causing additional pain and stress for this poor baby.

Shaggy made it this far, but his journey toward healing has just begun. Sedation, medical care, and the extensive vet treatment he desperately needs come at a high cost. As a volunteer based, non-profit organization, we can't do this without the help of our community.

Meet Puck, an adorable 8-year-old Supermutt mix (mostly Rat Terrier!). At a compact 18 pounds, he’s the ultimate mix of loyal sidekick and curious backyard explorer.

Puck is house-trained, dog-door fluent, and crate-comfortable (though he’d prefer to be in the room with you). He'll give you a polite nudge when it's time to go outside! (PS. He LOVES short hikes and yard time.)

Since he’s super smart, his new home should have a securely fenced yard and mindful door management to keep him safe.

Puck is seeking a calm, low-traffic home where he can be the star of the show. He needs to be the only dog in a home without young children. (He occasionally likes to guard his favorite people and food bowl, so he needs a patient, experienced adopter who understands gentle boundaries.)

Puck is neutered, microchipped, heartworm-negative, vaccinated, and has had his routine dental cleaning. He manages a heart murmur like a champ with affordable medication (twice a day), showing no signs of letting it slow down his love for life.

Willow is still looking for her furever home! Willow is playful with other pets and makes fast friends with furry companions. She’s smart and quick to learn routines, toys, and people. If there’s a nook, cranny, or mystery to explore, she’s already on the case. Determined and energetic, she throws herself into playtime, yet she’s wonderfully independent and can entertain herself when you’re busy. She enjoys being part of the action, seeks out human company, and brings a spark of life and a touch of mischief to every room.
