We are so happy this darling family got to experience Hawaii together. Liam swam his little heart out, met dolphins and sea turtles, and loved the firework show at Waikiki beach. They shared sweet Indy signs with us and reminded us once again, why we do this work πŸ¦‹

"This trip has been extraordinary for our family, so much so that I think her just being here healed her in ways medicine could never do..... She has relapsed seven times. Seven. She’s nine years old 🩡

This was her first time on a plane.
Her first family vacation.
Her first time feeling the ocean wrap around her.

Her parents told us the trip healed their hearts.
Not because cancer disappeared, but because for 7 golden days, she was just a little girl dancing in the sun 🧑

This is why Indy’s Ohana exists.
Because healing isn’t only physical- Sometimes it looks like saltwater, sunshine, and a family breathing again.

Ameerah has stolen our hearts entirely πŸ₯Ή Her light is so bright- Can you feel it just by looking at her?
She’s never been on an airplane. Her family has never had a vacation together. She has an older brother, a younger sister, and amazing parents. Today they are on their way to Hawaii!!

An absolute incredible family, we are honored to send them on their first family vacation! Two sons who overcame two unrelated cancers, a dad who lost his leg due to his service in the military- it feels perfect to introduce them to you today, on Veterans Day ❀️ Josh, we are so grateful for your service!

As we’ve gotten to know them this past year we have witnessed how kind, loving, & humble they are. Their family was chosen by Evie Mae, one of our first Indy’s ohana recipients 🀍

πŒπ„π„π“ 𝐉𝐀𝐗𝐄𝐍! 🀍

Jaxen will melt your heart! He just turned 11 years old. He loves Mario, Minecraft, Legos and Blink 182. He’s a fan of Disneyland but not Disney World. His favorite drinks are Pineapple Fanta and Root beer. His favorite restaurants are Chick-fil-a, Panda Express and In-n-out.

He was diagnosed with osteosarcoma at the age of 9. He had been limping for a few weeks but they brushed it off as a karate injury. They got him in for an x-ray & found a golf ball sized mass on his left tibia. He lost half of his leg to the tumor. He learned how to walk on a prosthetic and kept his spirit going strong. Chemotherapy was unsuccessful and after 2 lung surgeries, several lung and bone relapses, his family received the heartbreaking news that they were out of options. Jaxen is now home on hospice, but his spirits are high and he continues to be a light and strength to those around him. He is brave, inspires others, and is the master LEGO builder 😊

Meet Charlie πŸ’› this brave little girl & our story with her was a huge part of our inspiration for starting Indy’s ohana. Charlie has been fighting brain cancer for several years. She dreamed of going to Disney world but was denied by Make a wish. My community over at stepped up huge and we raised the money in one weekend, and sent Charlie’s beautiful family on their wish trip to Disneyworld. helped us make their experience pure magic✨ and seeing the excitement in Charlie’s eyes brought peace & love to our aching hearts. We knew we had to do this for other families facing a life altering journey with cancer.
Our beautiful friend Charlie is deep in her fight and could use our prayers. We pray for comfort, strength, discernment & peace πŸ™πŸΌ for Charlie & her parents.
We love you Charlie Bug! You are so brave and we are here with love, cheering you on. Thank you for inspiring us and teaching us what matters in life πŸ’›πŸž
