CTA Creative Arts Program

CTA Creative Arts Program The Creative Arts Program was developed to instruct and mentor individuals with Autism and or develo Creativity and expressive ideas are encouraged.

The Creative Arts Program focuses on these values:

Choice – Each individual is able to choose to participate or not and all. Decisions are respected and all appropriate requests are honored. Expression – Each individual is given access to an art workshop and able to choose from a variety of media and given instruction/mentoring if they choose. Positive Interaction – While following minimal guidel

ines of basic health and safety each individual is able to create in a non-corrective environment. Ownership – Every individual is able to choose to hang works of art anywhere in the room and decorate, paint and design the art room as they choose in a safe manor to promote ownership of their environment. Skill development – Individuals are given the option to better develop tactile/kinesthetic understanding and development of concept awareness. The improvement of fine and gross motor skills is also emphasized. Unconventional are sometimes used as well as oversized crayons and paint markers make painting and drawing a creative outlet for many participants who have not expressed themselves in this form previously.

300 Plates 2024 Tickets are now on sale!!! The event is happening on Thursday, May 9, 2024! Join us from 6-9 pm at Venue 6SIX9 for an evening of fun at our annual art fundraiser, featuring over 200 Utah artists to support Art Access' programs for artists with disabilities! Wristbands are also back for plate sales!
