Terralee got to go to her garden!!!!

We can’t say enough about On Point Structures NW & On Point Doors NW they have been a HUGE answer to prayer for us at The D31 Foundation!

Shortly after Sandy Night Out, we learned about a local family walking through a really tough season. The wife had suffered a terrible break in her leg, and her husband was still working full-time. She couldn’t be discharged from rehab until she had both a hospital bed and a safe ADA-compliant wheelchair ramp at home. Insurance wouldn’t cover either of those, even with a doctor’s note.

To give you perspective: their deck was 31 inches high, which meant the ramp had to be 31 feet long with a turn platform halfway down—a major project with a major price tag.

That’s when On Point NW (Structures & Doors)stepped in. They secured donated materials from Withers Lumber Co. and provided all the labor at absolutely no cost to the family or D31. Talk about servant hearts in action! 🙌

Meanwhile, our Community Kindness Program was able to cover the cost of a hospital bed, and thanks to a $250 gift from an anonymous Dick Hannah Ford & Chevrolet employee through their Employee of the Month program, we were able to provide Hungryroot meal delivery for at least two months for the family. Thank you also to Johns employer of almost 20 years, Walsh Construction Co. for their generous donation to help us round out the support!

On top of that, Piper has had the privilege of spending afternoons with the patient—helping with meals, tidying up, and keeping her company. But the real blessing has been the other way around… this sweet woman has poured into Piper’s life, encouraging and uplifting her in ways only God could orchestrate. 💙

We have seen God’s faithfulness through every single part of this story—from the companies who gave so generously, to the kindness of individuals, to the way hearts have been touched along the way.

Our community is beautiful. Our gratitude is overflowing. Thank you, On Point NW, Wither’s Lumber, Dick Hannah, and everyone who continues to show up and love people well.😍🥰😍🥰

🚨🚨🚨 We Need HELP🚨🚨🚨

We need YOU to help make Sandy Night Out the BEST night of the summer! It’s happening THIS Saturday, August 2 from 4–7PM, and we’ve got a few fun (and slightly ridiculous) volunteer roles still up for grabs:

🎟️ 3 people to sell raffle + event tickets (includes power and snacks—probably)
🌭 1–2 people to serve hot dogs, chips, and cookies with a smile and maybe a ketchup stain
🎯 1–2 people to help run the dunk tank—manage the line, take tickets, and help folks hit the target (bonus points for dramatic flair)
🚓 2–4 people to work the jail—arrest "criminals" and keep the jailbirds in check (yes, it’s as fun as it sounds)
🪜 1–2 people to take tickets and manage the Jacob’s Ladder blow-up game (ladder climbing not required!)

✨ All volunteers get a free event t-shirt, lanyard, raffle tickets, and the eternal gratitude of your community!

Sandy Night Out is THIS Saturday (Aug 2), and we need a few more awesome humans to help pull off the best night of summer!

✨All volunteers get:

Here’s what we still need:
🛡 1–3 Security Volunteers – Walk around, smile a lot, and make sure everyone’s having fun. (Bonus points if you have a walkie-talkie voice.)

👮‍♀️ 6 Jail Monitors – “Arrest” folks, let them out, and take tickets. It’s all fun and games… until someone refuses bail. 😉

🧗 1–2 for Jacob’s Ladder – Help with tickets and supervise the inflatable climbing challenge!

🍽 1 Dinner Helper – Serve up FREE dinner to the community. Yes, it’s as fun as it sounds.

🎯 3 Dunk Tank Helpers – Take tickets, hand out balls, and monitor the line. You stay dry—we promise.

✅ 2 Volunteer Check-In Pros – Help other volunteers know where they’re going and what they’re doing. You’re basically the VIP concierge.

🍧 1 Shaved Ice Sidekick – Scoop, serve, smile. (Must be ok with being everyone’s favorite person.)
