We have a Court of Honor for Ben Graves and Anthony Olson as well as an Advancement and Awards Ceremony coming up this weekend on Saturday, August 15 at 3 PM! We need scouts to show up at 2:30 PM to help set up.

We are pleased to announce Stacy Sepeda has been promoted to Program Director! In addition to her continued responsibility for our Council Cub Scout Family Events including Spring Family Camp, Family Outdoor Adventures, and Spookyree plus special activities like Heritage Hike and Scout Day at the Capitol, Stacy will also assume responsibility for direct leadership of Bert Adams Summer Camp and Bert Adams Winter Camp. Stacy will report to Jason Baldridge, Director of Experience and Safety, who will provide guidance and support to ensure her continued success.

Stacy joined the Atlanta Area Council in September 2023 as a Part Time Customer Service Specialist and was promoted to Program Executive in July 2025. She graduated from American-Intercontinental University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. She grew up in Dorr, Michigan but has spent over 20 years here in north Georgia. Stacy’s involvement in Scouting began when her son, Logan, joined as a Tiger Cub. Both of her sons, Logan and Lain, are Eagle Scouts with Logan also earning the prestigious Hornaday Award. Stacy has served in many volunteer roles, including Pack Committee Member, Den Leader, and Assistant Scout Master for Troop 431. She is also an active member of the Order of the Arrow where she dedicates a lot of her time supporting events throughout the year. Stacy joined the Bert Adams Camp staff in 2021 and has served very successfully as the Program Director for both summer and winter camp.

From the Patrol Leaders' Council to the National Stage

Senior Patrol Leaders know what works in their troops. They understand the challenges, opportunities, and experiences that make Scouts BSA meaningful to youth.

The new Scouts BSA SPL Summit will bring together SPLs from troops large and small, urban and rural, creating a nationwide conversation focused on strengthening the program through youth feedback and shared experiences.

By listening to youth leaders and learning from one another, Scouts BSA continues its commitment to being a program led by youth and supported by caring adults.

Watch for additional details this summer as Scouts BSA prepares to launch the SPL Summit in September 2026.
