Preparing the bags for first graders at Ison Springs Elementary School. 80 students in 4 classrooms will each get 2 books to take home (not pictures) and 2 peat pods and seeds to grow bell peppers at home. Each classroom will have a packet of seeds, a "greenhouse" seed starter, and a copy of the book shown. We are working on an audio visual on seed germination too. Wish we could be there in person, but we will still make an impact! 📚📚

Our 2021 Holiday Gathering was Saturday. In addition to enjoying each other's company and lunch, Altrusa of Atlanta donated food for the food pantry at the Community Assistance Center of Sandy Springs/Dunwoody. Each member brought food, and Judith took cash donations to Costco and added 12 - 48 oz jars of peanut butter. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Celebrating 75 years of service, literacy development, and friendship this month! You should be a part of this! We believe that everyone is able to make a positive difference to the world around them. We can each volunteer our time, or donate our money, towards worthy causes. Our individual efforts are small, but they matter.

We enjoy the friendship, fun and satisfaction that comes from working together for the benefit of others. One of our shared goals as an organization is to improve literacy, which we believe is the key to opportunity.
