TODAY IS THE DAY!!! Happy St. Baldrick's Day, everybody! Come join us from 12pm-4pm at O'Reilly's Public House in Sandy Springs as we and in the fight to ! For the last few months, participants have been raising much needed funds that go towards cancer research and treatments and today they'll be shaving their heads in solidarity with the kids that lose their hair during their battle with cancer. This is a family-friendly event, so bring the whole crew and enjoy some great food, great drinks, and a great time… all for a GREAT cause! Come be a part of the 25th year of St. Baldrick’s volunteers working to Conquer Kids’ Cancer!

You’ll be giving hope to thousands of kids diagnosed with cancer every day – from babies and toddlers to children, teens and young adults. In fact, you’ll be saving lives!

Our event will speed the search for cures through St. Baldrick’s, the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants.

Two research groups – one led by St. Baldrick’s-funded Dr. Kim Stegmaier – have discovered a protein that plays a critical role in Ewing sarcoma by indirectly promoting tumor growth. Using models, the research team found that tumor growth stopped after removing the newly discovered protein.

Researchers hope they can use these new insights to develop a targeted drug that leads to an effective treatment for Ewing sarcoma. Read article: https://bit.ly/3yD9VCy
