Wieberworld Elder Care

Wieberworld Elder Care Wieberworld Elder Care was established in July of 2002 as a safe haven for people with ODD.

One of our therapy animals, Mr. Bertram, is having a rough time. He spent last weekend in the hospital due to a urinary blockage. He came home Sunday but now he is having problems again. Like children, therapy animals wait until the weekend (a holiday weekend) to get sick...

Monday morning one of our residents had a stroke. Even though I have educated and re-educated my residents on the signs and symptoms of stroke and heart attack, he did not associate his slurred speech with the possibility of a stroke. He was hospitalized for several days, but is back home now and doing well. Things could have been much worse!! KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR and do NOT wait 12 hours to get help!!!

By learning and sharing the F.A.S.T. warning signs, you just might save a life from stroke. Face drooping, arm weakness, speech, time to call 9-1-1. Knowing these symptoms might save your life.
