The Dale Ferguson Memorial Scholarship was created by his family, in memory of Dale, who was a lifelong area resident, a member of the Brown City Masonic Lodge #409, and active in the Peck Schools Boosters Club. He served as Maintenance and Custodian Supervisor at Peck Community Schools until his retirement in 2009. It is awarded to a graduating senior from Peck High School who maintains a minimum GPA of 2.5.

During her junior year, she obtained her CNA license as well as her CPR and BLS certification from the Sanilac Career Center and also received the Principal's Award from the Sanilac Career Center.
