November 21, 2014 - At 12:04, the Revere FD struck Box 43 for a fire in the area of 924 Winthrop Ave, near Summer St. The fire was in a large 2 1/2 frame, duplex residential building. A 2nd Alarm was sounded with heavy fire and smoke showing from the rear. A-10 and A-11 responded on the 3rd Alarm with rehab team members Paul Boudreau, Jim Daly, Bruce Gusler, Bill Hodges, Peter Sturgis and Kevin Sullivan. A rehab station was established adjacent to the former quarters of Revere Engine 3. Also assisting with rehab was The Salvation Army, A-30, staffed by Disaster Chairman and BSA member, Paul Leslie. At 14:10, with FF's still heavily engaged, the rehab team delivered 20 pizzas secured from Winthrop House of Pizza, Nick's and Crest Ave. Pizza in Winthrop. At 15:25, the OIC reported the fire was KD with companies engaged in heavy overhauling. The rehab team expects to be on the fire ground for an extended period.
