Homeschoolers Engaged in Leadership, Projects, & Service

Homeschoolers Engaged in Leadership, Projects, & Service HELPS exists to connect homeschooling families with each other and the community through leadership, community service, and project-based activities

A new group is being formed to help connect homeschooling families with our community through leadership, community service, and project-based learning opportunities. The new group will be called HELPS: Homeschoolers Engaged in Leadership, Projects & Service. HELPS seeks to be a bi-weekly gathering of homeschooling families that works together to accomplish a community-based project. HELPS is desi

gned primarily for students ages 8 and up. Examples of projects could be helping at the Humane Society, beautifying a public park, serving a meal at a soup kitchen, starting a community garden, sorting items at local food pantries, collecting items for needy families, visiting nursing homes, volunteering at the library, learning about local charitable agencies, visiting local government functions and participating in local civic activities…. The list is endless.
