We just wanted to thank everyone who has poured into the most vulnerable children (foster children) in our area this past year. With generous donations we were able to help out over 70 children in foster/kinship care with clothing and daily essential needs. We are always looking for other partnership with individuals or businesses that have the heart to help these kiddos out. We are currently good with clothing donations. Daily essentials and shoes are where we could use some help with or any monetary donations. We are strictly a non profit with volunteers to fill the needs of the children in foster care system. If your interested in volunteering or donating please reach out to Abby 419-707-1814. Thank you and we pray everyone has a safe and blessed New Year.

It’s arguably the single biggest barrier that keeps people from fostering - the fear of “getting too attached”. It’s an inherent tension in this entirely awkward and broken and beautiful foster care arrangement that never fully goes away - you just kind of learn how to embrace it, live in it...

Many of our foster parents are also veterans. We thank them for their service both to our country and to our community.

How special is this idea from A Fostered Life? Try this out with your foster kiddos by filling a simple box with your memories together. Movie tickets, photos, artwork...it’s all worth remembering. ❤️

Many of us take it for granted that we have baby pictures, grade school projects, and other mementos from our early years—but not a child who was in foster care. Sometimes, entire years of their li…

You're welcome to share your stories in the comments... ❤️

Why do I share my story?

*I share because of what God has done for me & within me throughout our foster care journey.

*I share so others will know how foster care & adoption can change lives.

*I share so people will learn the need for foster & adoptive families.

*I share so you see the blessing these children are to my family.

*I share so that you get a look at the reality & the brokenness of it all.

*I share because every child deserves a loving home.

*I share because even if it helps one family make the decision to open up their home to a foster child—we need that one.

This month during National Adoption Awareness Month & every month after that, I encourage you to stand up & share your stories of foster care & adoption. Be the voice for children who don’t often have one.

Raise your hand if you think it’s a requirement to be a little crazy to foster...y’all know I mean the good kind of crazy of course. 😉

I had been sitting in the ER for eight long hours when the call came. Sure thing, I’ll be out of here in a few hours & after I stop for a playpen, some diapers & wipes I’ll meet you at the house.

Wow, diapers
Wow, I’ve got six kids again
Wow, it’s been so long since I’ve held a baby
Wow, I really look like this, maybe I can find time for a shower...someday soon.

Oh, & my husband has been in the hospital for a couple days with pneumonia. It’s never really a good time to welcome a baby in, but that’s what makes me a foster parent. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Pray for us friends.
