⚠️ Lost food due to a recent power outage? You may be eligible for replacement SNAP benefits to help replace groceries that spoiled.⚠️

Households that lost food purchased with SNAP benefits due to a power outage lasting 4 hours or more may be eligible for replacement SNAP benefits. Eligible households can receive benefits to help replace the food lost, up to the amount of their monthly SNAP allotment. Replacement benefits will be loaded onto the recipient's Ohio Direction Card.

➡️ To apply, impacted households must complete JFS Form 07222: https://shfb.link/JFS07222
➡️ Submit it to your local County Department of Job and Family Services (CDJFS) within 10 DAYS of the food loss.

🚨 Important: The CDJFS must verify that a power outage lasting 4 hours or more occurred before replacement benefits can be approved. Households are strongly encouraged to provide documentation of the outage, such as:
• Screenshots of news reports
• Text or email outage alerts
• Utility outage maps showing their specific area was without power for 4 hours or longer
