Sandstone Quarry Lions met this afternoon to work on a new project and to hold their monthly meeting. Several Lions sewed and stuffed pillows for veterans that have had heart surgery. The pillows will be used when they are in cardiac rehab.

First Grade students at East Central School and Harvest Christian School received sunglasses from the Sandstone Quarry Lions. They were taught why it is important to protect their eyes from harmful sun rays.

Six Quarry Lions and ONE volunteer worked together to sew heart pillows for people recovering from heart surgery. One new project to help serve people! The Power of ONE is happening in the Sandstone community!

Sandstone Lions and Sandstone Quarry Lions will be serving cheeseburgers, brats, hamburgers, and hot dogs on Saturday, June 27th at Chris’ Food Center. There will also be a bake sale. We are raising money to serve our community. We hope to see you there!

Today we celebrate children around the world. Last week the Sandstone Quarry Lions awarded two scholarships to graduating seniors at East Central High School. We also presented First Graders at East Central Elementary School and Harvest Christian School sunglasses to help them understand how to protect their eyes from harmful sun rays. 💙💛💙🎓😎🎓💙💛💙
