Brown Ballerinas for Change is now accepting applications for our 2026–2027 Ambassador Program! Our ambassadors serve as leaders, advocates, performers, and changemakers while helping to promote diversity, inclusion, and positive social change through dance and community engagement.

Happy Father’s Day to all of our Dance Dads!

Today we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, and father figures who stand behind our Ballerinas every step of the way.

Thank you for the early morning rehearsals, costume pickups, recital day nerves, countless car rides, and unwavering support. Thank you for cheering from the audience, encouraging from the sidelines, and helping our dancers believe in themselves both on and off the stage.

Your love, dedication, and sacrifices help our ballerinas grow into confident, courageous, and compassionate young leaders.

From all of us at Brown Ballerinas for Change, we wish our amazing Dance Dads a very Happy Father’s Day!

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the enduring spirit of those who fought for a brighter future.

At Brown Ballerinas for Change, we recognize that representation matters. We are proud to create spaces where young dancers can see themselves, embrace their identities, and use their voices through the arts.

As we celebrate this important day, we reflect on the progress that has been made, acknowledge the work that still lies ahead, and remain committed to empowering the next generation to lead with confidence, courage, and compassion.

May we continue to dance boldly, dream fearlessly, and create positive change in our communities.

🎓BBFC Alumni Spotlight 🎓

We are so proud to celebrate BBFC Alumni Madison Kang as she graduates from the University of Pennsylvania!

Madison is graduating Summa Cum Laude as a Johnson Scholar and will be attending the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania!

Your BBFC family is cheering you on every step of the way. Continue to inspire the next generation of Brown ballerinas to dream boldly.

Congratulations to BBFC Ambassador Alumni !!! She just graduated from with a BFA in Dance. We are so very proud of you and so excited to see the amazing things you accomplish in life! May you change the world one leap at a time! 🎓🩰✊🏽

Asiah Moore is originally from Chester, Virginia. She received her BFA in Dance from George Mason University where she has performed works by Christina Robson and Shaun Boyle D’Arcy. Asiah has also had the opportunity to perform repertory by Andrea Miller, Victor Quijadea, Yin Yue, Martha Graham, and Kyle Abraham. Outside of her university dance experiences, she has attended intensive dance programs such as Chicago’s Hubbard Street Dance and Springboard Danse. As an artist Asiah’s goal is to be part of and to help create spaces where artists feel a sense of connection to one another through one of the most honest forms of artistic expression, movement. Asiah is motivated by human experiences and emotions, which lie at the center of the work she creates and engages with.
