Back by popular demand!

Eric Nelson of Nelson Family Canvas has been hard at work transforming our old sails into these sweet, one-of-a-kind tote bags.

Sails are the tires on the racecar—they work hard, and eventually they wear out. But just because a sail is old or damaged doesn’t mean it belongs in the garbage. Eric gives ours a second life as rugged totes ready for the beach, the grocery store, the boat…whatever!

And here’s the catch: You can’t buy these on our website. The only way to get your hands on one is to come to SAIL-A-PALOOZA!

We wrapped up our 2026 junior sailing season on Labor Day with the 4th Annual Tater Tot Cup Junior Sailing Regatta!

Huge thanks to Sandpoint Sailing Association for partnering with us to make this event happen. Sixteen boats and 28 sailors, ages 10–18, hit Lake Pend Oreille for a very wet and wild afternoon of racing!

Extra props to the families who traveled to Sandpoint from Coeur d’Alene Youth Sailing and North Flathead Yacht Club to join the fun and race with us.

What a way to finish the season. Well done, sailors! ⛵🤙

The Dogsmile Race Team is PUMPED for SAIL-A-PALOOZA on Saturday!

Join us from 5–8 pm on Saturday, September 19, at Matchwood Brewing for an evening of celebration, community, and fundraising in support of therapeutic sailing in North Idaho.

We’ll have live music, silent auctions, Dogsmile merchandise, great food and drinks—and even better company!

Most of all, SAIL-A-PALOOZA is our chance to come together and celebrate another incredible season of therapeutic sailing on Lake Pend Oreille and the community that makes it all possible.

A whole lot, as it turns out. Our in-person silent auction is packed with local, handmade finds, including pottery, sail bags, and more. Our online auction has some pretty incredible experiences — like dinner cruises on Lake Coeur d’Alene aboard Sizzler and a stay-and-sail with Cloud 9 Sail Charters on Lake Pend Oreille. (Can't make the event? We got you! Bid no matter where you are on the online auction. Bidding opens Wednesday!)
