Michelle never set out to adopt. She just said yes.

When a grandmother fell and couldn't care for her grandchildren, IdaHope reached out to Michelle, a woman with a farm, a big heart, and a passion to see kids have a better life. She opened her home for respite care. Just temporarily. Just to help.

But God had a different plan.

The grandmother watched those children run outside, play in the open air, and settle into a loving home. And she made one of the hardest- and most beautiful- decisions a person can make. She trusted Michelle with their future.

IdaHope came alongside every step of the way- legal support, mentorship, and someone to walk the road with them.

This is what happens when one person says yes. This is what IdaHope exists to make possible.

Children stay home. Families stay together. Sometimes, families find each other. đź’™

The body of Christ doesn't always look like a Sunday morning. Sometimes it looks like two guys
building a skateboard.

His first mentee? A young man who loved working with his hands. So they built something together
— a skateboard, and a relationship that would change both of them.

That's how it starts. Not with a curriculum. With a connection.

When Neal shared his story with his church, something moved. People who never saw themselves
as mentors began to wonder — maybe I have something to give too. And they stepped forward.

This is the body of Christ doing what it was designed to do.

Every person uniquely gifted. Every gift needed. Every yes rippling further than you can see.
IdaHope exists to connect that gifting to the families and kids who need it most. We don't need you
to have it all figured out. We need you to show up with what you already have.

Do you know which part of the body you are?
Because there's a kid out there who needs exactly that. đź’™

Not sure what IdaHope does? Executive Director Christine Denova explains it perfectly.

What happens when a family is hit with cancer, a long illness, or an unexpected crisis, and they have no one to call?

That's exactly the gap IdaHope Families was built to fill.

We mobilize local churches and trained volunteers to come alongside families in their hardest moments, offering mentoring, respite care, host homes, and real case management. Whether it's a single dad who needs someone to help with his kids while he's at a treatment appointment, or a family on the edge of falling apart, IdaHope shows up.

And here's what makes us different: parents never give up control. Not a single parental right is threatened. Because we believe families heal faster when they feel safe, supported, and in charge of their own story.

Children stay home. Families stay together. That's the mission.

What if your awareness could change someone's life?

What if your awareness could change someone's life?

“If just one adult had known what to look for…”
This is something many survivors share.

Child sexual abuse often goes unnoticed—not because adults don’t care, but because they may not know what to look for or what questions to ask.

One safe adult can change everything.

By learning the signs, asking questions, and creating space for children to speak up, adults can help protect children and respond when something isn’t right.
