The girls from Jackson Co. Public Library came to camp today and brought all the fun! The kids got to learn the difference in herbivore and carnivore dinosaurs 🦖 🦕, became archaeologists 🪨, and got to learn how to build their own volcanoes 🌋!! They also made their own bracelets and made paper airplanes and tried to fly them (wind direction worked against us today). Then spent the afternoon having some free play in the field! So fun!! 🤩

What an absolute fun time STEM Camp day 1 was!!! Hunter from the Extension Office came and helped the kids make dreamcatchers made from chicken wire, nails and beads! Then Camp AJ made tie dyed tees with all of us, fed us and were just the best hosts!!! We’ll see all our campers tomorrow!!

We are SO excited to share that FRC & Camp Andrew Jackson are teaming up for an amazing STEM & Art Summer Camp for our kiddos! 💛

This 4-day camp is packed with hands-on fun like:
⚡ Snap Circuits
🥚 Egg Drop
🎨 Painting & Crafts
🐓 4-H Dreamcatchers
🌿 Nature Field Trip

📅 June 8–11
⏰ 9:00–2:30
👧🧒 Open to CURRENT 1st-5th grade (school year 25/26)
📍Camp Andrew Jackson

Spots are LIMITED (first 30 students per school!), permission forms will be sent home with students soon! This camp is at no cost to students, thanks to our FRC’s, community members and Camp AJ!

This is going to be such a fun, creative, and hands-on experience for our kids—I can’t wait to see them learn, explore, and have a blast! 💙
