Rounding out our Back to School featured programs today was Mr. Jamaal Wilcher, Principal at Washington County High School, along with some of his WCHS Ambassadors. The Ambassadors gave us a great overview of WCHS and what they love about it! Superintendent Mr. Timothy May attend with the group as well. Thank you all for joining us today!

Special thanks to Brentwood School Head of School and Sandersville Rotarian Jamie Dickey for bringing an extra special group of students to speak to us today! Each of these students exemplifies Service Above Self through a variety of service projects that they are involved in. The future is bright for Washington County!

Pigskin Preview 2026 Season Edition started today with Brentwood School Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Adam Lord. Coach Lord and his War Eagles are 2-time defending AA State Champs going for a 3-peat, starting tomorrow night at home against defending AAA State Champs John Milledge Academy. Coach Lord brought this senior players with him today. We wish them the best of luck defending their state title!

We also welcomed new member Matt Jones to Sandersville Rotary today!

Playing catch up on some great Rotary programs!

Today, we welcomed District Attorney Tripp Fitzner who gave a great talk about his role in this circuit and the dangers associated with online threats to young people. He gave us some insight on ways to help minimize those threats.

Last week we welcomed Mitchell McGraw who talked with us about a wonderful organization he is affiliated with-Hunting for the Cure

The 2025-2026 Rotary year has come to a close and with that comes new club leadership. Today we recognized outgoing President Derick Durden and welcomed incoming President Alex McAfee. Thank you, Derick, for your leadership this year! We look forward to another successful club year under Pres. Alex’s leadership.
