11550 Ramsdale Dr NE This Saturday May 30th 11am - 4pm we will be helping a lady with a special needs guy clean out their barn and things they need thrown out or scrapped. John Kleck will have a group and will show up to help David Baldwin either of these guys should be able to point you where to help out. Trucks are welcome and hands to help move bring gloves and your body and your help is most appreciated. Its just south off M57 and Ramsdell if you going north on 131 get on m57 and go east to Ramsdell.

Party planned for July 4th with a small meeting for suggestions on Aidens Place being sold. Place for party will be the compound on Grosvenor in Sand Lake.

Potential for a project lead. There is a woman who is a special needs child's mother that is in need of a new roof and a cleanup crew. Members please sound off if you are willing to be involved in helping work on a roof for a couple hours or cleaning taking things to the dump. Todays date is April 15th this may likely come around sometime in May or June. Just comment below if you are interested in helping and I will keep up a post should the project come to fruition. This would be the Rockford area between Rockford and Cedar Springs.

We need a path for our charitable hearts to follow that can both help locally without needing to hinder our other civic and religious duties. It has been recommended that we pick one specific cause and support that one in a focused effort to help people in the area. I welcome input from the group on "specializing" or staying broad based in our help.

Congrats to Aramis Kleck on his new job working with a young man on weekends doing respite for his parents. YMCA is a good place to hang out for both of them so wishing them the best. Care is a calling people certainly don't do it for the money :)

-Prayers - young lady known to many of us recently had a seizure at work and hit her head. She lives on the edge uprooting a lot and needed to keep working. We will keep an eye on her and ask if we can help but everybody can pray for her. Please take a moment.

Member Aramis Kleck just started his training for CNA and has begun working for at home health care. He says his goal is to one day own and operate an AFC home for special needs people. We will be supporting him with our prayers and some funding.

Michigans funding for special needs afcs and mental health individuals has apparently been so drastically cut that Kent County MI cut it's current contracts by 5% across the board. Many homes are closing. The very next day as it turns out they sent a document out to everyone in Kent County asking for bids on new laptops and software. Does there exist in this hypocritical State a representative that will at least look into the medicaid justification for their laptops over the needs of the people meant to be served. I counted over 50 referrals needing placement for special needs people pop up in our emails the very next day. That means a bunch of AFC homes just went under. All the other counties in MI apparently did not have to cut funding by 5% against an existing contract. So.... how about a DOGE for the state of Michigan perhaps and please review those administering Network 180 please. Things are getting ridiculous and of course it starts by hurting the least able to defend themselves. Just tired of being called stupid and slapped in the face while trying to care for the people we love. (This is me advocating for those btw. We will stay open because my sons bar will be supporting our AFC to keep going. We have a backup, others... do not.)

Sent a token amount on behalf of the group but if any of the group want to send more you can either do it personally or we can do a fundraiser. I don't know the people personally they are in Greenville and I just saw the post out there. Seems like a cause we can get behind if not on the individual levels.
