Sand City PD was just diagnosed with cancer. The credentials of their doctors are in doubt but nevertheless, they were told in a council meeting that they have cancer.
They were also told that if their officers walked more the city won’t have to pay so much for their healthcare.
Now if this is not gratitude for you I don’t know what is.
Round of applause for the council please.

"Trees of Sand City" a mural designed by the most prominent of the Sand City artists, Eleen Auvil, was rejected by the Sand City Art Committee this past Tuesday. This was done at the same time that the committee, isolated from the City's Artistic Community and suffering from an acute lack of imagination, sees no other solution than to go shopping for artistic events anywhere but here. So far the purchase of a mural festival from a company in Colorado has costed the City right around $65,000.

I would like to thank the 40% of Sand City voters who put their confidence in me and promise to continue doing what I can to make Sand City better.
Most Sand City businesses, even though they did not get to vote, also put their trust in me. I will continue to explore every venue to help Sand City businesses grow and prosper.
To those Sand City property owners who supported me, I say that every time I succeed in getting the City Government to fix a part of the City, your property value will go up. If I get to convince the City to fix the street in from of Elena's Bakery instead of spending tens of thousands of dollars with very little to no benefit to local businesses or residents, The Sand City property values will go up.
I am also planning to work with the POA to bring our police officers even closer to our community. So stay tuned, more blogs coming soon. Thank you again.

If you read the minutes of the meetings in 2019 and early 2020 when the Sand City Art Committee was discussing and deciding to spend a substantial amount of money on a mural festival, there was no talk of “let us see what the community has to say about it.” There was no concern because they did not care what the community had to say. But now that there are real challenges in the election and a possibility of losing their seats on the Council, suddenly there is an urge to talk to the community and make them feel like they really care, with a Q&A session. They did not care then, and if elected, they will not care for another four years.
The irony in all this is that, the only candidate for City Council who ignored Police Officers Association invitation to meet the officers, is holding a Q&A session because of interest in the community’s opinion. In a few short weeks there is a real choice for Sand City. Vote for Kayhan & Don. Make the community matter.

Temple sisters artwork, couple of Sand City Artists who do not have any experience designing murals. A Sand City Art Committee that is not 100% about the Sand City Artists Community has lost its reason to exist.
