How is this possible a company can use a horse to make money on having babies for them for years and then just throw them away? Why are there no laws against this?. All our resources are going to the other mare we rescued can anybody step up and help this one?

Poor momma might have a case of strangles. We had to dart her to sedate her for testing. This is a highly contagious upper respiratory infection. We are in urgent need of additional funds for extended quarantine and treatments.

The vet came out today to see momma who started to look off. Poor girl came down with a fever and strangles. She got some meds to help her through this horrible virus.

Momma mare has safely made it to quarantine and will be headed to the equine hospital to get a full exam. We are introducing feed slowly to her daily routine to help put on weight while being very careful not to shock her system after being deprived for so long.
