This annual breakfast is always inspiring. When you gather a room full of nonprofit leaders sharing how their organizations are serving the San Ramon Valley and beyond, it’s impossible not to leave with a pep in your step and a full heart.

"📽️ What do your favorite movies, music, social media trends, and current events have in common? They all raise fascinating questions about how we think, reason, and make decisions.

In this dynamic and interactive course, students will explore the world of philosophy and logic through the lens of pop culture. Through engaging discussions and real-world scenarios, students will learn how to analyze arguments, spot flawed reasoning, and build strong, persuasive cases of their own.

These are the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that colleges and employers value most, and skills that will benefit students in every academic subject and future career path.

For incoming 6th graders and up
Class date and time: June 15 - June 18, 9 am - 12 noon

We are grateful to the teachers who embraced the Generation Citizen curriculum in their classes and participated in Civics Day on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
⁠
Civics Day is an event at the end of the semester - like a science fair, but for civics. Students from California High School, Diablo Vista Middle School, and Windemere Ranch Middle School had the opportunity to present their projects to Community Advisors. Being heard by adult members of their community is a validating experience for young people that builds civic leadership and a sense of belonging. These adults listened, encouraged, showed curiosity, and provided valuable, actionable feedback. Thank you, Community Advisors!⁠
