From our friends at the San Ramon Library. Such a great activity to do with kids, or by yourself!

Enjoy this free, fun and easy activity that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of bird populations. Count birds for as little as 15 minutes on one or more days (Feb. 18-21) in your own backyard, at a park, or anywhere! Go to birdcount.org for instructions on how to participate. Show us your checklist of sightings at the San Ramon library no later than Feb. 26 to receive a small prize and a chance to win a beautiful bird-themed basket.
This event is sponsored by the San Ramon Library Foundation.

♻️ New Recycling Law ♻️
On 1/1/2022, a new food waste law went into effect. California's SB 1383 aims to keep food and other compostable materials (food scraps, food-soiled paper/cardboard, and plant trimmings) out of landfills in order to prevent the production of methane, a potent greenhouse gas.
