The San Francisco Dragon Boat Festival 2026 brings vitality to the city’s waterfront, activating public spaces and supporting local businesses through a shared passion for historic sport.

Featuring over 30 teams and 1,000 paddlers, the festival connects corporate groups, youth programs, and competitive athletes across the Bay Area.
As San Francisco continues to revitalize its neighborhoods, the festival plays a vital role in reinforcing the city’s identity as a world-class cultural destination.

Throughout the festival, local vendors will be present alongside family-friendly activities that introduce the cultural and historical significance of dragon boat racing and the holiday it represents. These elements offer accessible entry points for both first-time attendees and those returning to the tradition.

Dragon boat racing continues to serve as a point of connection across San Francisco’s neighborhoods. The festival has grown into a citywide event that welcomes participants and spectators of all backgrounds.

It’s a great day at AAPI Celebration with the Town of Tiburon. Thanks again for all our volunteers, especially our MCCA Lion Dance Team dancers and lion dance team parents for managing our food booth and table. All for good causes.

Sharing the press release and flyer for the Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Day celebration to be held on Saturday May 23 from 10am to 2pm at the Cloud Forest Temple in Weaverville California.

This is a free event that will include a traditional Chinese Lion Dance with a colorful Dragon, 100 thousand firecrackers, kids’ crafts, festive treats and green tea ice cream. There will also be Asian food for sale during the four-hour event.

Happy 90th Birthday to our Lion Dance Team Coach Mr. Ben Chuck. 🎂🎉🧧

Since 1979, Ben has been leading the Lion Dance team. For over 45 years, the Lion Dance team has touched many lives and participated in many local performances throughout Marin County, including many of the local school sites and libraries. Many of the Lion Dancers are local school-age students.

The Marin Chinese Cultural Association wanted to wish Ben a Happy Birthday and thank him and his family again for promoting our culture and enriching the lives of many of our students. Happy Birthday, Ben!! 🎂🎉
