Earlier this month, SRCS proudly sent more than 50 teachers, administrators and parents to the California Association for Bilingual Education conference in San Francisco. Thanks to a partnership with Youth Transportation Organization, a San Rafael-based nonprofit, we were able to expand access to this valuable professional learning opportunity to over 20 parents and family members.
At the conference, families and staff learned from experts about best practices for supporting multilingual learners across all grade levels. Our participants gained insights into upcoming policy changes, effective instructional practices and innovative family engagement strategies. They returned with meaningful ideas and strategies to share at their schools; their learnings are already helping to further strengthen and enrich our SRCS community.
