Dedication to Special Education

Dedication to Special Education Children with special needs will reach their full potential in living and learning. This is the core

Dedication to Special Education is an all-volunteer parent organization committed to improving special education in Marin County. Dedication to Special Education is a community partnership in every way: parents, educators, and community coming together to benefit all children with special needs in the schools. We operate under the financial auspices of the Marin County Office of Education, qualify

ing as a tax-exempt public agency under IRS section 170(c)(1). While the Marin County Office of Education is our fiscal sponsor, we decide where the money goes. Since 1997 we have raised over $2 million for our programs in Marin County. We created and continue to fund the Technology Resource Center of Marin, and have invested over $400,000 directly in the classrooms through our Grants to Special Educators Program. Our success is dependent upon community partnership, and we strive to maintain and develop long-term relationships with our families, schools, and local businesses.

It takes a village — and we’re so grateful to be part of this one. 🧡

We want to take a moment to shine a light on one of our incredible partners, SchoolsRule Marin.

SchoolsRule Marin is a countywide coalition bringing together all of Marin’s public school foundations under one roof — advocating for educational equity and making sure every student across every district has access to the programs that make school feel whole: arts, music, counseling, wellness, and technology.

While DSE Marin works to support students with disabilities right here in our community, SchoolsRule Marin helps amplify that work by connecting foundations countywide and strengthening public education for all Marin kids.

We’re proud to be part of a county that believes every child deserves more. 🧡

From raffle tickets to real keys 🔑✨

We had the best time celebrating our car raffle winner, Jasmine from Novato, at Toyota Marin! It was truly a day for the whole family — face painting, bounce house fun, crafts for the kids, and delicious food generously donated by The Marin French Cheese Company.

Moments like this remind us how powerful community can be. Thank you to everyone who supported the raffle and continues to show up for our special education families. 💛

Congratulations again, Jasmine — we are so excited for you! 🚗🎉
